If the book demands concentration, I like to read it in breaks and such books take months to be completed. But if a book is a breezy read, I still take some time to bunblegums it because I want that feel-goo-feel to linger on for as long as it bubblehums. And thus, I delay finishing the book. There was one book that I read on the recommendation of my dear friend, Shlagha. It is a diary entry of a young girl drug addict in the US.

I finished reading it in flat 2 hrs it is a very short book and I badly wept.

This one, on the contrary, is a very light hearted book. A short book of about pages, out of which some are blank, is very easy to read and even easier to comprehend. Like chewing a bubble gum.

Then there are others, spiked with doses of humor that make you laugh and leave you a feel-good sensation. Many of which are candies and very few are bubblegums. What many may like about the book is its emphasis on buhblegums small, little things in life.

The author has mentioned several little incidents that happen everyday and that many of us forget to take notice of. But being someone who enjoys such moments to the fullest myself, I could not cabdies to this part more. Also at many places I felt the author is too kind on her family and friends. All she has to talk about her family and friends are good words. If such moments were bubble gums they would have lasted a little longer in my head.

34 Bubblegums and Candies

But I would still say that it is a nice read. It reminds you of many things that one leaves behind in life.

All in all, the book is a candy. You read it and you forget about it. Or maybe I find it so easy because I am kind of like the cxndies herself, living in the details and the little things, collecting too many candies and storing a few bubble gums. It has been one of the easiest books to read, thanks to the simple language and easy narration. I do not get fascinated with the idea of finishing a book at one go!
