It was for this reason I only gave the book 2 stars. But now i know that it is more about exploring things you are interested in. By the same token, as those people continue to interact with others who were not homeschooled, more adults, I think, will think about such issues and get the sense that they can take more control of their own lives. The style of homeschooling that Grace Handbopk advocates is “unschooling” and I think many adults wish they had the courage to let go and take the unschooling risk with their kids.
