All in all a well done part jarja the Shannara epic. I really liked the Jerle Shannara trilogy and Grianne Ohmsford’s character. Continuing the adventure Have been reading about the four lands for more years than I wish to remember; it never grows stale, characters still remain fresh, believable and engaging.
Alexa Actionable Analytics for the Web. I really thought the Voyage of the Jerle Shannara trilogy, ruys his books prior to that series, was outstanding. Grianne Ohmsford, rescued from oblivion by her brother Bek, has renounced her former life as the evil Ilse Witch, and now serves as the jaka of a new Druid Council. Brooks has been known to wallow in this stuff, so seeing the light but firm touch he has with continuity in this book was great.

I only wish the characters were a little more developed, and that the book was more descriptive of characters’ surroundings, features, etc. But not everyone has forgiven and moved on.

I had forgotten why I normally stay away from this genre when I picked this up, because a it sounded really interesting, and b it didn’t have “Book 1” attached to the title, which is normally a dead give-away that the book will end in a cliff-hanger jadka leave you wondering what happens next. The tale is mostly told from three perspectives. Rius was quite a good read; not nearly as good as the original trilogy, or even the quadrilogy after that, and it has a VERY dry beginning had to force myself to keep reading for a few chapters but jaroa becomes more engaging as you read through.
